Ragdoll cats are large, sweet-tempered, long-haired, but minimal-shedding cats = perfect. But they cost as much as the average pure-bred dog. 🙁

There are two different types of corgis. The current Queen Elizabeth has owned the breed for years. The breed is also made famous by the children’s book illustrator, Tasha Tudor. I fell in love with them through her art and books. They pretty much look like either a German Shepherd or Border Collie/Dachsund cross or a Golden Retriever/Fox/Dachsund cross. So I admit they can be absurd looking, if you choose to see them that way. 🙂

Sorry about the out-dated, tiresome highlight-link-then-copy-then-paste-in-browser method. I’ll fix it sometime! 🙂

Also, Lily Bart is the heroine from The House of Mirth (1905, Edith Wharton, better known for Ethan Frome, which I’ve never read), one of my absolute favorite books. I HAVE to go to bed, but I REALLY BADLY want to share one of my favorite passages from the book, which highlights what about Lily’s character makes me love her so much. It is QUITE annoying, the need for sleep.
