Isaac, great to get the update from Mom on your departure/arrival. I’ll be praying about those classes, especially calc. I think that Ben is kind of a math wiz, so maybe that will be helpful (or just annoying). Heh, heh. I did have a flatteringly easy time in calc at Geneva only because I had spent ridiculous amount of time learning it all the year before.

This week has been eaten up by roofing the back side of our house, setting up my big freshly minted classroom, and finishing another chapter about the slimy sea creature that I’m passing off as a respectable and useful fellow. 🙂

Nessa’s second adult tooth is clearly visible, but the baby tooth is still hanging on. She and Tobin have been a great help in classroom set up these past couple evenings.

The rain mercifully called a hiatus to the roofing so Elizabeth gets to sleep a little before MHS this weekend.

Here’s a poem for the road:

A Warning To My Readers

Wendell Berry

Do not think me gentle
because I speak in praise
of gentleness, or elegant
because I honor the grace
that keeps this world. I am
a man crude as any,
gross of speech, intolerant,
stubborn, angry, full
of fits and furies. That I
may have spoken well
at times, is not natural.
A wonder is what it is.
